Faith Goal Challenge

The key to a productive faith goal is to keep it simple. If you make it to hard you may feel HopeLoveFaith_smalldefeated and give up. I’m suggesting to set goals based on your passions. You may not know what those passions are right now, so step out of your comfort zone and try something new. Then track or journal your faith walk and adjust goals as you learn more about how God is leading you. Remember the old saying, “Fail to plan and you plan to fail”. Well, I learned 3 words from my go-getter daughter who always says, “Just Do It”. So there you go. Give yourself a few minutes to set a faith goal. See some examples below.

Building a Relationship With God:

  • Schedule a certain time/times every day to meet with God.
  • Pray about bible promises and learn to listen.
  • Or maybe you are like me, my first faith goal was to pray 5 more minutes each day.

Bible Study:

  • You could set a goal to listen to a Bible CD in the morning or when driving to work.
  • You may want to start by just reading the red words of Jesus in the new testament.
  • Or you could meet with a friend or neighbor and pick a topic to study once a week.

Christian Service:

  • Maybe you always wanted to feed the homeless. Align your goals with your passion.
  • Set time aside each month to help neighbors and family members.
  • Visiting, shop, and care for the elderly, single parents, inmates and the poor.

Whatever your goals may be, I would love to hear about them. So please be sure to leave comments and keep me up to date on what’s working and not working for you. The Lord wants us to encourage one another in our Christian walk so I pray that you find love and support here on your journey.
